1. Overview

Shark Advertising (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an advertising agency that manages Amazon Ads campaigns and reporting on behalf of our clients. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect data when accessing Amazon Advertising services through the Amazon Ads API.

2. Data We Access

When a client authorizes our application, we access the following data through the Amazon Ads API under the advertising::campaign_management scope:

  • Campaign performance data (impressions, clicks, spend, conversions)
  • Ad group, keyword, and targeting data
  • Budget and bid information
  • Reporting data across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display

We do not access personal customer data, purchase history, or any data outside the advertising scope authorized.

3. How We Use Data

Data accessed through the Amazon Ads API is used exclusively to:

  • Generate performance reports for our clients
  • Analyze and optimize advertising campaigns on behalf of clients
  • Provide campaign management recommendations
  • We do not sell, share, or transfer client data to any third parties.

4. Authorization and Tokens

Clients authorize our application via Login with Amazon (LwA) OAuth 2.0. We store the resulting access credentials (refresh tokens) securely to maintain ongoing API access as authorized by the client. Clients may revoke this access at any time through their Amazon account settings.

5. Data Storage and Security

  • All credentials and tokens are stored with encryption
  • Access is restricted to authorized Shark Advertising personnel only
  • We do not store raw API responses beyond what is required for reporting purposes
  • Data is retained only for the duration of our engagement with the client

6. Third-Party Services

Our application interacts exclusively with Amazon’s advertising infrastructure. We do not share API data with any other third-party platforms or services.

7. Client Rights

Clients may at any time:

  • Request a summary of data we have accessed on their behalf
  • Revoke API access through their Amazon account
  • Request deletion of any stored credentials or reports

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our services evolve. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
